Rebecca Ball, Broker Associate
Rebecca Ball has been a real estate agent since April, 1994; however, her experience in the industry did not begin there. She worked in the title industry (a real estate subsidiary) between 1983 and 1994 when she earned her real estate license, beginning in reconveyances and working up the corporate ladder to title assistant: first in residential, then in commercial.
But what gave her the real estate bug was doing foreclosure assessments for a real estate investor who purchased properties as fix and flips (a distressed property bought at auction to which repairs and improvements are made before it is subsequently resold). It was a side job she did with the owner of the beauty salon where she was working at the time.
Beauty salon? Yes, Rebecca began her career as a cosmetologist and went on to become a professional make-up artist, certified in everything from beauty to theatrical (modeling and photography, theater, television, and motion picture) make-up artistry. She worked several local plays, some photography and modeling, and a couple of music videos before deciding a career change was in order and began working in title full time.
Rebecca has four siblings: two brothers and two sisters, and is a single parent of two very special children: two Basset Hounds, a girl named Maya and a boy, Knuckles. "Our family bred AKC certified Basset Hounds as I was growing up, and I have always loved them. I rescued Maya and Knuckles in July, 2008, and they are near and dear to my heart; I cannot imagine my life without them."
What is it that keeps Rebecca so dedicated to her work in real estate? "I really enjoy working with first-time buyers: there is nothing like helping someone find their first home. Truly, though, I love finding homes for people from all walks of life: families with children, military personnel, singles, executives...especially those who think owning a home is an impossible dream. There is nothing like the feeling of having found someone the perfect home -- and proving that dreams do come true!"
